How do I create a quote from a photo?
Open Quotes in your workspace, describe the job and upload up to three JPEG, PNG or WebP photos, up to 5 MB each. Add measurements, access constraints, your labour rate and known material costs. Ask Steady to suggest line items, then edit and save the quotation. Photos provide context but cannot confirm hidden damage or exact dimensions.
How are recommended prices calculated?
Provide your own labour rates and known material costs in the job brief. Any other model-suggested price is an unverified AI estimate, not a live supplier price. Confirm quantities, rates and the tax applicable to your job before sending. The quote supports EUR, GBP and USD without automatically converting currencies.
What information appears on the quote PDF?
The PDF uses the saved workspace company details and logo, followed by the quote number and revision, issue and validity dates, client and job address, scope, itemized prices, tax, subtotal and total. Include assumptions, exclusions and terms. Internal pricing notes and cost basis stay out of the client copy.
Does the client get the quote before I approve it?
No. Save and preview the quotation, prepare the email and queue it in Approvals. Review the frozen PDF, recipient and message before approving delivery. A saved draft or queued approval does not send the quote. Changes require a new draft or revision.
Can my client translate the quote PDF?
Enable the private language reader when preparing delivery. The PDF includes a link and QR code that open after approved sending. The reader supports English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Polish. A first translation takes processing time; repeat views use the saved result. Clients can download both the original and a clearly labelled translated PDF. Numbers, currency and company details are preserved.
Who can access the translated quotation?
Anyone with the private PDF link can view it without a SteadyOp account. Links expire after 90 days and can be revoked by the workspace. The reader is excluded from indexing and internal notes are not exposed. New translations use the sender’s AI credits; downloaded files cannot be recalled by revoking the link.
Can I try the quote generator for free?
New workspaces receive seven days of Business features and 5,000 trial credits, with no card required. AI suggestions and new translations consume credits. Continuing afterward is optional and paid. There is no automatic charge at the end of the no-card trial.
